Gary peacefully departed this world on May 9, 2026, in the comforting presence of his cherished children, just as he had wished. He was 75 years old. Born on April 29, 1951, Gary was the treasured son of Pete and Chalis Riley. Raised in a family that instilled in him the values of hard work and dedication, Gary grew into a man who embodied these virtues throughout his life. Gary dedicated his life to his career as a truck driver, a profession that took him across the vast landscapes he loved so dearly. His life on the road was a testament to his adventurous spirit and deep appreciation for the beauty of the world around him. A true outdoorsman at heart, Gary found solace in the quiet of nature. Whether casting a line into a tranquil lake or tracking game through dense forests, his passion for fishing and hunting was evident to all who knew him. These pursuits were not just hobbies; they were his way of connecting with the world and finding peace within it. Gary's legacy is carried forward by his loving children: his sons, Terry Riley, Jeromie and his wife Shawna Riley, and his daughter, Tammy, and her husband, Jeremiah Humphrey. His pride and joy were his eight grandchildren—Sabrina, Austin, Jacob, Jaris, Jordan, Liam, Jude, and Emerlyn—each of whom brought him immense happiness and fulfillment. Gary's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and adventure. He was a man who cherished family above all else, and his deep love for them was reciprocated tenfold. As a family, we hold dear the memories of a man who was steadfast and loving, whose presence enriched our lives profoundly. In accordance with his wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Gary's life and legacy. Though not open to the public, we invite family and close friends to join us in spirit as we celebrate the journey of a remarkable man. In this time of reflection and remembrance, the family wishes to express a heartfelt message: Gary was deeply loved by his family, and his memory will forever be cherished in our hearts.
