Gary Michael Pelach

July 9, 1944 — July 1, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Gary Michael Pelach, who departed this world on July 1, 2026, at the age of 81. Gary passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and unwavering love. Gary was born on July 9, 1944, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to John and Ruth (Hazel) Pelach. The values he learned from his parents—hard work, integrity, and compassion—shaped the man he became and guided him throughout his life. He was predeceased by his beloved parents and his cherished son, Paul Daniel, whom he held in his heart every day. A learned man, Gary pursued his education with passion, graduating from Oklahoma State Southeastern University in Durant, Oklahoma, with a degree in Professional Aviation and Business. His academic achievements paved the way for a fulfilling career, where his expertise and dedication earned him respect and admiration from colleagues and friends alike. Gary's greatest joy was his family. He shared a beautiful life with his wife, Mary, to whom he was married for 54 incredible years. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, love, and treasured memories. His strength and tenderness as a husband were matched only by his devotion as a father to his surviving son, Chris, and his wife, Stephanie. As a grandfather, Gary's heart swelled with pride and joy. He cherished every moment spent with his five grandchildren: Julia, Daniel, Ty, Morgan, and Dakota. Whether it was sharing stories from his adventurous life or attending their various activities, Gary was an ever-present source of support and encouragement, always ready with a warm smile and a gentle hug. Gary's life was a testament to the power of love and commitment. He touched the lives of many with his generosity and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit will continue to inspire those he leaves behind, just as his memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. The world is a little dimmer without Gary's light, but his legacy will shine on in the lives of those he loved. A private family service will be held to honor his life, with a celebration of his remarkable journey planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity close to Gary's heart, supporting education and aviation, reflecting his lifelong passions. Gary Michael Pelach will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, and a loyal friend. His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and he will be missed beyond measure.
