In Loving Memory of Gary Lyn Moore It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Lyn Moore, who departed this world on August 4, 2026, after a courageous battle. Born on September 29, 1972, in Denison, Texas, Gary was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, and friend. His life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and joy. Gary was the cherished son of Shirley Moore and the late Eddie Moore Sr. He was also predeceased by his grandmother Velma B. Mayo and grandfather William Mayo, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms. He is survived by his devoted wife, Brenda Moore, the love of his life. Together they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, travel, and shared adventures. Whether riding side-by-sides, cruising, or exploring new places, their love was a journey in itself. A proud graduate of Chapel Hill High School, Class of 1991, Gary was a man of many talents and aspirations. He initially ran his own business before finding his calling as Fixed Operations Manager at Commerce Chevrolet. There he forged numerous lasting relationships with customers and coworkers, known for his warmth, integrity, and dedication. Gary’s life was enriched by his family, whom he cherished deeply. He leaves behind his children, Gary and significant other Jaidyn, Jeff Buckley and wife Megan, Alonzo Loucks, Jessica Buckley, and Matt Loucks; and his stepchildren, Lori Crittenden and husband Jason, Aaron Henson and wife Kristina, and Cody Henson and wife Michele. He is also survived by his newborn grandson Kaysen Moore, whom he was blessed to meet just days before his passing, along with 13 additional grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, as well as his beloved fur babies, Panda and Axel. His siblings, brother Eddie Jr. and sister Lisa Hazuka and husband Robert, along with his niece Jessica Stanley and husband Troy, will forever remember his humor and kindness. Gary also shared a special bond with his great-nephew Maysen Stanley. Gary was a man of simple joys and profound love. He found peace in working on his truck, MEGA, and exhilaration in riding his side-by-sides and Slingshot. His younger years were spent creating cherished memories camping and fishing in Rockport, Texas, with his parents. Above all, Gary had an incredible gift for making everyone feel welcomed and loved. His genuine nature and infectious laughter were his trademarks, and his capacity to support and uplift those around him was unparalleled. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the medical staff at UT Southwestern for their exceptional care and compassion during Gary’s battle. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Gary’s memory to the American Cancer Society. Gary Lyn Moore’s spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will continue to inspire and guide us.
