Gary Lynn McIntosh, a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, at Serenity House in Morristown, TN, after an extended illness. Born on April 29, 1962, in Rogersville, TN, Gary was a cherished soul known for his gentle, grounding grace and his extraordinary kindness. A graduate of Bulls Gap High School in the class of 1980, Gary was a man of diverse interests and talents. He had a passion for genealogy, often spending hours unraveling his family's history. Photography was another of his joys, allowing him to capture moments and memories that would last a lifetime. Gary also found peace in water-related activities, finding solace and inspiration in the serene embrace of nature. Gary was the son of the late George and Ruth McIntosh and was predeceased by his brothers, George McIntosh and Eddie McIntosh, nephews, Chevy McIntosh and Gary "Goob" McIntosh. He is lovingly remembered by his surviving siblings, David McIntosh and Dorothy (James) Johns, and his nieces and nephews: Jeffrey Johns, Chris McIntosh, Paige (Andy) Roller, Lorinda (Eric) Webster, and Nyki (Sam) Britton, his special cousin, Reba Loop, and a host of extended family and friends will also hold his memory dear. Those who knew Gary will remember his compassionate heart and the deliberate way he engaged with everyone around him. He had a rare gift for making others feel understood and special, sharing his loving spirit freely with the world. His ability to connect deeply with others was a blessing to all who crossed his path, and his presence will be profoundly missed. A graveside service (only) will be held on Monday, August 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Shepard Cemetery in Bulls Gap, TN. Family and friends are invited to gather at 10:45a and celebrate the life of a remarkable individual whose gentle soul touched the hearts of many. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Friends of Hospice - Serenity House. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Serenity House for their compassionate care during Gary's final days. May Gary's memory be a blessing to all who knew him, and may his spirit continue to inspire acts of kindness and love.
