Gary Lyn Moore

Gary Lyn Moore of Greenville, TX was born September 29, 1972, in Denison, TX and entered heaven on August 4, 2026, after a brave and hard-fought battle. Gary was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, and friend whose life shone with love, resilience, and pure joy. Gary was the cherished son of Shirley Moore and the late Eddie Moore Sr. He was welcomed home by his grandmother Velma B. Mayo and grandfather William Mayo, who had gone before him. He is survived by the love of his life, his devoted wife Brenda Moore. Together they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, travel, and shared adventures—riding side-by-sides, cruising, and exploring new places. Their love was a journey in itself, and Brenda was his greatest blessing. A proud graduate of Chapel Hill High School, Class of 1991, Gary was a man of many talents. He first ran his own business before finding his true calling as Fixed Operations Manager at Commerce Chevrolet. There he formed lasting friendships with customers and coworkers alike, always known for his warmth, integrity, and quiet dedication. Gary’s greatest treasures were his family. He leaves behind his children: Gary and his significant other Jaidyn; Jeff Buckley and his wife Megan; Alonzo Loucks and his wife Haylee; Jessica Buckley; and Matt Loucks and his wife Courtney. He is also survived by his stepchildren: Lori Crittenden and her husband Jason; Aaron Henson and his wife Kristina; and Cody Henson and his wife Michele. Just days before he left us, Gary was blessed to meet his newborn grandson, Kaysen Moore—a moment of pure light in the midst of difficulty. He is also remembered by 13 additional grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, and by his beloved fur babies, Panda and Axel. His siblings, brother Eddie Jr. and sister Lisa Hazuka and her husband Robert, along with his niece Jessica Stanley and her husband Troy, will forever carry his humor and kindness in their hearts. Gary shared a special bond with his great-nephew Maysen Stanley that will never be forgotten. Gary found peace in the simple things—working on his truck MEGA, the thrill of riding his side-by-sides and Slingshot, and the cherished memories of camping and fishing in Rockport, Texas, with his parents. Above all, he had a rare gift: the ability to make every person he met feel truly welcomed and loved. His genuine spirit and infectious laughter were his trademarks, and the way he lifted others up remains unmatched. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the medical staff at UT Southwestern and a special heartfelt thank you to Dr. Karen McQuade for the exceptional care and compassion they showed Gary during his battle.
