Gary Leon Greeson, a cherished partner, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026, at the age of 86. Born in Visalia, California, on January 4, 1940, to Raymond W. and Pearl Marie Greeson, Gary lived a life full of dedication, adventure, and love. Gary's early years in Visalia were marked by a strong sense of community and family. After graduating from Mt. Whitney High School in 1958, he attended the College of the Sequoias, where he began to shape his dreams and aspirations. Gary was driven by a hardworking spirit, which led him to a successful 20-year career as a clerk and produce manager with Safeway stores. His ambition eventually led him to become a General Building Contractor, establishing and running Greeson Construction in both California and Arizona. His work left a lasting impact on the communities he served, and his dedication to his craft was truly inspiring. Beyond his professional life, Gary was a man of many passions. He was an avid deer and elk hunter, finding joy and peace in his annual hunting trips to Colorado. These adventures were more than just a pastime; they were a testament to his love for the outdoors and his appreciation for nature's beauty. Gary was also committed to serving his community. As the President of The Woodlake Lions Club, he demonstrated leadership, compassion, and a deep commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. His contributions to the club and the broader community will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. Gary is survived by his beloved partner Claudia, his devoted son Jon of Visalia, CA, and his loving sister Diane Moody, also of Visalia, CA. He was predeceased by his parents, Ray and Pearl, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Northern Arizona Hospice Care for their exceptional kindness and compassion during this difficult time. Their support has been a source of comfort and strength. In honor of Gary's memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of one's choice, reflecting Gary's generous and giving spirit.
