Born on October 1, 1971, in Panorama City, California, Gary was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend to many, who lived a life full of laughter and service. Gary was the cherished son of the late Jacqueline Gail Powers and John Robert Powers. He is survived by his devoted sisters, Tiffany Talafuse and Heather Lee, and their husbands, Steve Talafuse and Jerry Lee. He was a proud and loving uncle to Emma Talafuse, Steven Talafuse, and Gavin Lee, with whom he shared countless joyous moments. A graduate of Royal High School, Gary was a man of many talents. His career spanned multiple trades, including mechanics, construction, home repair, and tree trimming. Known for his hardworking nature, Gary was always ready to lend a hand when needed, bringing his great smile and infectious sense of humor to every task. Gary's love for the outdoors was reflected in his hobbies. He was an avid fisherman and hiker, often spending his free time immersed in nature. He also had a passion for watching movies and exploring war history, pursuits that kept his inquisitive mind engaged and active. Those who knew Gary will remember him for his ability to bring laughter into any room, his unwavering work ethic, and his generous spirit. His legacy is one of kindness, humor, and dedication, traits that endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. In honor of Gary's life, the family kindly suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, National Home Office, in Atlanta, Georgia. Gary's family and friends will gather to celebrate his life, cherishing the memories of the joy and love he brought into the world.
