It is with heavy hearts yet cherished memories that we announce the passing of Gary L. Rosenberry, who departed this world on May 10, 2026, at the age of 62. Born on September 25, 1963, in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, Gary was the son of the late Robert Rosenberry and Brenda (Aumiller) Wileman. His journey through life was characterized by dedication, service, and an enduring love for family and friends. Gary was a graduate of Chief Logan High School, where he first displayed the qualities that would define his life: commitment, integrity, and an unwavering sense of humor. Following high school, he answered the call to serve his country, joining the United States Marine Corps. Gary served with distinction, earning the rank of sergeant, a testament to his leadership and dedication. A man of steadfast principles, Gary pursued a career in law enforcement, serving as a Pennsylvania State Trooper. His tireless commitment to public service and justice earned him respect and admiration from his colleagues and the community. After retiring from the State Police, Gary continued to make a difference, working as a sergeant in the Perry County Prison until his second retirement. Gary's life was enriched by his marriage to Rae (Quigley) Rosenberry on November 11, 2021, in the vibrant city of Las Vegas, Nevada. Together, they embarked on countless adventures, exploring the beauty of the United States in their RV—a testament to Gary's love for travel and discovery. Despite the demands of his career, Gary always prioritized his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Rae; his sons, Gary Jr. and his companion Amanda, and Tyler; his brother, Robert; his sister, Shannon; and his stepmother, Cheryl. Cut Gary cherished the moments spent with his family, ensuring they were always cared for and supported. Gary was a caretaker at heart, a man whose generosity knew no bounds. He was known for his humorous side, a trait often misunderstood as arrogance, but those who knew him best appreciated his ability to bring light and laughter to any room. He never met a stranger and could engage in conversation with anyone willing to listen. Beyond his professional and personal achievements, Gary was a proud member of the American Legion, where he found camaraderie and shared his love for serving others. In his passing, Gary joins his parents, Robert and Brenda, and his sister, Tina (Rosenberry), in eternal rest. His absence will be deeply felt, but his legacy of love, service, and humor will forever inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. The family wishes to announce that a military honor memorial service will be held at a later date, with details forthcoming. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that friends and loved ones honor Gary's memory by living with kindness and compassion, in the same spirit he exemplified throughout his life. Gary L. Rosenberry, a life well-lived, a man well-loved, and a legacy that will endure for generations.
