It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Hyman Jr., a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend, who departed this life quietly at his home in Chesilhurst, New Jersey, on July 23, 2026. Born on April 27, 1967, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Gary brought joy and inspiration to all who knew him.
Gary was the cherished son of the late Gary Hyman Sr. and Valerie L. Dasher, who surely welcomed him with open arms. He joins them in eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. Gary is survived by his three children, Terry Booker/Hyman, Gary Hyman, and Marshae Winn, who, together with her husband Brendan, will carry forward his spirit and values. He was the proud and loving grandfather to five beautiful grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life.
A devoted brother, Gary leaves behind his siblings, Robb Hyman and his wife Cheryl, Derrick Dasher and his wife Jennifer, and his sister Keysha Dasher. His extended family includes numerous nephews, nieces, and a host of friends who will dearly miss his presence.
Gary's journey began with his graduation from Frankford High School in 1985, a stepping stone to a lifetime of achievements and further education. His sense of duty and honor led him to serve in the United States Armed Services, where he exemplified dedication and patriotism.
For 25 years, Gary was a valued member of the Express Scripts team in Burlington, New Jersey. His commitment and the deep relationships he forged made him a respected and loved colleague. His creativity shone through in his passion for graphic design and 3D modeling, alongside his enjoyment of hands-on projects that showcased his innovative spirit.
Known for his infectious smile, carefree demeanor, and a heart full of love, Gary touched the lives of everyone he met. His memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of Gary's life will be held on August 14, 2026, at the Jason Lloyd Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to a charity of one's choice in Gary's honor, as a testament to his generous and caring nature.
Gary Hyman Jr. will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and the indelible mark he left on the world. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, a testament to a life well-lived and a soul well-loved.
