Gary Elerick
February 25, 1954 — October 24, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Elerick, who left this world peacefully at home on October 24, 2026, after a courageous battle. Born on February 25, 1954, in the sunny town of Santa Monica, California, Gary was the beloved son of George and Betty Elerick, who predeceased him, along with his three brothers.
Gary spent his childhood and formative years in southern California, graduating from high school in Venice, a place that would always hold a special spot in his heart. As a young man, Gary's adventurous spirit and strong work ethic led him to San Jose, where he embarked on a successful career in the trucking industry. With remarkable dedication, Gary operated a small fleet of four trucks, skillfully moving furniture across the state of California.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Gary was a man of many passions. One of his greatest joys was riding his Harley-Davidson, savoring the freedom and thrill it brought him. Those who knew Gary will fondly remember his quick wit, which could light up any room and bring smiles to the faces of friends and strangers alike.
Gary's legacy lives on through his children, his cherished son, Elmer, and his devoted daughter, Theresa. He was also the proud grandfather to five grandchildren, who were a constant source of pride and joy in his life. Gary's family was the center of his world, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments and happiness.
A service to honor and celebrate Gary's life will be held on November 7, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the Springville Church of Christ. Family and friends are invited to gather and share in the memories of a remarkable man who touched so many lives.
