Gary Allen Mohr May 29, 1950 – May 27, 2026 It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Gary Allen Mohr, two days shy of his 76th birthday, on May 27, 2026, in Glendale, Arizona. Gary succumbed to a courageous battle with Alzheimer's, leaving behind a legacy etched in love, laughter, and unwavering kindness. Born to Warren and Edna Mohr on May 29, 1950 in Oakland, CA. The family relocated to Phoenix, where Gary attended Arizona State University. In 1979, Gary's life took a beautiful turn when he met and married the love of his life, Robin Opel, in Phoenix. Their union, which spanned an inspiring 46 years, was a testament to enduring love and partnership. Together, they crafted a life rich in experiences, nurturing two wonderful children, Timothy and Brian, who, along with their families, became the pillars of Gary's world. Gary's career was marked by dedication and integrity, though it was his roles as a husband, father, and grandfather that truly defined him. His grandchildren, Jackson, Bianca and Mel, were the light of his life, bringing him immeasurable joy and pride. Gary's family was his greatest treasure, and he cherished every moment spent in their company. He is survived by his devoted wife, Robin, his sons Timothy (Erica) and Brian (Zahra), cherished granddaughters Bianca and Mel, his brother Dwight (Patty), his sister Barbara (Mark), his sisters-in-law Karen and Jo, brother-in-law David, and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Edna Mohr, his mother and father in law, Mary and Charles Sewell, his brothers-in-law Richard Nicol and Jim Sewell and his beloved grandson, Jackson Mohr, whose memory he held dear. Gary's gentle spirit and generous heart touched everyone who knew him. He was a man of quiet strength, unending patience and deep compassion, qualities that left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. In honoring Gary’s wishes, a private "Celebration of Life" will be held at the family home in Glendale, AZ (5545 West Soft Wind DR. 85310). The family invites friends and loved ones to join them at 1:22 pm on June 27, 2026, to share memories and celebrate the extraordinary life Gary led. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Gary's memory: Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org to support the ongoing fight against this devastating disease, Five Roses Adult Care Home III, where Gary received excellent care during his final days, AugustHeart at www.augustheart.org to support free heart screenings for teens, in memory of Jackson Mohr. Gary Allen Mohr's life was a tapestry woven with love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those he cherished. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him. Rest in peace, dear Gary. You will forever remain in our hearts.
