August 23, 1942 — March 25, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Garth D. LeFevre, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who left us peacefully on March 25, 2026, at the age of 83. Garth was born on August 23, 1942, in the serene town of Lewiston, Utah, to Cecil and Melita Van Orden LeFevre. He was the sixth sibling amongst four sisters and two brothers, who all predeceased him and whose memories he held dear. Garth was a dedicated family man who cherished the love and companionship of his beloved wife, Claris Durrant LeFevre. The couple's journey began on a winter's day, February 14, 1963, when they were united in marriage at the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. Their union, marked by love, support, and unwavering faith, spanned over six decades. Together, they built a life full of warmth and joy, welcoming eight children who were the pride and joy of Garth's life. Garth's legacy is carried on by his devoted wife Claris and his eight children: Connie (Myron) Egbert of Nibley, Utah; Christy (Scott) Coulson of Fairview, Idaho; Cathy (Shawn) Thrasher of Spring Creek, Nevada; Cindy (Jeff) Wilson of Spring Creek, Nevada; Tony (Ami) LeFevre of Hyde Park, Utah; Blake (Diana) LeFevre of Murphysboro, Illinois; Van (Shannon) LeFevre of Caldwell, Idaho; and Craig (Taryn) LeFevre of Nampa, Idaho. Garth's heart was filled with immense pride and joy for his 29 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought a special light into his life. Garth's early years were spent in Cache Valley, where he graduated from North Cache High School in 1960. Shortly thereafter, he served honorably in the Utah National Guard, embodying a deep sense of duty and patriotism. His commitment to service extended beyond the military as he embarked on a successful career as a general contractor. Garth's work took him across Idaho, Utah, and Nevada, where his craftsmanship and dedication left a lasting impression. A man of unwavering faith, Garth was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving diligently in the Spring Creek Fourth Ward. His faith was the cornerstone of his life, guiding him in all his endeavors and instilling values of kindness, integrity, and service in his family and community. Garth's life was a testament to hard work, love, and devotion. He was a man who valued family above all else, always making time to share stories, impart wisdom, and create memories that would be cherished for generations. His gentle spirit and warm smile will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. As we bid farewell to Garth, we find comfort in knowing that he is reunited with his parents, siblings, and loved ones who have gone before him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched, and his legacy will continue to inspire us. A service to celebrate Garth's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor a life well-lived. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Garth's name to a charity of your choice, reflecting his lifelong commitment to helping others. Rest in peace, dear Garth. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
