Garry Calvin Brimmer
September 6, 1945 — August 5, 2026
On August 5, 2026, the world lost a truly remarkable man as Garry Calvin Brimmer, aged 80, left this earthly realm for the next. Born in the picturesque town of Belle Fourche, South Dakota, on September 6, 1945, Garry was the cherished son of Glenn and Margret Brimmer. His life was a testament to the values of hard work, love, and laughter.
Growing up in Ridge, Montana, Garry's early years were spent as a ranch hand, instilling in him a profound appreciation for the land and its beauty. His career on the road began with driving trucks, a vocation that would eventually lead him to fulfill a dream of owning his own truck. Garry found immense joy in teaming up with his son, Glen, as they shared the open roads, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
In Faith, South Dakota, on May 29, 1971, Garry married the love of his life, Pauline Loretta Reinert. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure, sharing 53 beautiful years until Pauline's passing. Their union was blessed with two children, Glen and Melissa, who continued to bring joy into Garry's life, along with his cherished grandson, Rowdy, and great-grandchildren, Emerson and Keaton.
Garry found immense happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He loved camping with his family in the Black Hills and exploring the terrain on four-wheelers with his dear friend Corky. In his later years, he enjoyed riding side by side in the hills, his heart always at home in the great outdoors. Garry's workshop was a sacred space where he spent countless hours welding, a craft he enjoyed and mastered. His playful spirit shone through in his love for games, whether it was spirited rounds of cribbage at the Newell bar or countless family matches of croquet.
Known for his quick wit and infectious laughter, Garry had an endearing penchant for telling jokes. His humor brought light to every room he entered and left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Garry's warmth and kindness were treasured by his surviving family members, including his children Glen and Melissa (Mike Ogle), grandson Rowdy (Megan) Mauch, great-grandchildren Emerson and Keaton, and sister Joan. He also leaves behind special friends Corky and Karen Walters, who were a source of support and joy throughout his life.
Garry was predeceased by his loving parents, his twin brother Larry, his brother Leland, and his beloved wife, Pauline. While their absence is deeply felt, the legacy of love and laughter that Garry leaves behind will forever be cherished by those who knew him.
In honor of Garry's memory, donations may be made to a charity of your choice, continuing his spirit of generosity and kindness.
Garry Calvin Brimmer will be remembered as a devoted family man, a loyal friend, and a beacon of joy. His laughter, love, and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
