Garry C. Brimmer

Garry C. Brimmer, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on August 5, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on September 6, 1945, in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, Garry grew up in the wide open spaces of Ridge, Montana, where he developed a deep appreciation for nature and the simple joys of life. Garry was the beloved son of the late Glenn and Margret Brimmer and shared a special bond with his twin brother, Larry, and brother, Leland, who predeceased him. Garry was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Pauline Loretta Reinert, with whom he shared 53 wonderful years of marriage. Their love story began on May 29, 1971, in Faith, South Dakota, and was a testament to enduring partnership and devotion. Garry's life was filled with the laughter and warmth of his family. He is survived by his loving children, Glen and Melissa, and her husband Mike Ogle. His grandson, Rowdy, along with his wife Megan, and great-grandchildren Emerson and Keaton, were constant sources of pride and joy for Garry. His sister, Joan Rector, and dear friends, Corky and Karen Walters, also remain to cherish his memory. A man of many talents and an unwavering work ethic, Garry worked as a ranch hand before taking to the roads as a local and over-the-road truck driver, often alongside his son, Glen. His career was marked by dedication and a strong sense of responsibility. In his leisure time, Garry relished the great outdoors, particularly camping with his family in the Black Hills. He was a familiar face at the Newell Bar, where he enjoyed playing cribbage, and he spent many happy hours riding four-wheelers and later his side-by-side with his good friend, Corky. Garry also found immense joy in spending time with his grandson, Rowdy, and could often be found in his shop, welding with skill and creativity. Known for his quick wit and ever-present humor, Garry was always ready with a joke that could brighten anyone's day. His warm spirit and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew him. In honor of Garry's life, the family kindly suggests that donations be made to a charity of one's choice. Garry's legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will forever be remembered and cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
