In Loving Memory

GARRETT ALLEN DECKER
September 7, 1957 — February 17, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Garrett Allen Decker on February 17, 2026, at the age of 68. Garrett, affectionately known as Gary, departed this world surrounded by the love of his family, after a courageous battle with kidney and heart failure. Born on September 7, 1957, in Warren County, Pennsylvania, Gary was a beacon of warmth and kindness, whose life was a testament to generosity, friendship, and love.
Gary was the beloved son of the late Beatrice and Henry Decker, who instilled in him the values of hard work and compassion. He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Karen Sue Cameron, and his nephew, Jeff Ditty, whose memories he held close to his heart.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Becky Decker, who stood by his side through life's joys and challenges. Gary was the loving father of two sons, Brian (Kyndwyn) and Chad (Jen), and two stepdaughters, Rachel (Zac) and Ashley (Tyler). His family was his pride and joy, and he took immense pleasure in spending time with them, whether it was sharing laughter during family dinners or the spirited competition of game nights.
Gary's heart was as expansive as his embrace, offering his legendary bear hugs to all who needed comfort. His life was enriched by his brother, James (Bobbi), and sister, Arlene Stoyer, and his Texas nieces and nephews: Steph (Eric), Joe (Kelly), Jimmy (Heather), and Cassie. Their children brought him endless joy, and he delighted in their company, celebrating each milestone and achievement with boundless pride.
Gary was a doting grandfather to eight grandchildren: Wyatt, Brayden, Tessa, Mattie, Owen, Miles, Evangeline, and Charlotte. Each of them held a special place in his heart, and he was their biggest cheerleader, always present with a listening ear or a word of guidance.
A man of the outdoors, Gary found solace in hunting and fishing, passions he pursued with enthusiasm. His knowledge and wisdom were invaluable, always shared freely with those around him. He was a steadfast friend to many, including his lifelong Pennsylvania companions, Bill and John, who cherished his friendship and the countless memories they created together.
In accordance with Gary's wishes, a private ceremony will be held to celebrate his life and bid him farewell. Though the ceremony will be intimate, the love and memories Gary leaves behind are vast and enduring.
As we mourn the loss of a remarkable man, we also celebrate the life of Garrett Allen Decker, whose impact on the world was as profound as it was heartfelt. May his spirit continue to guide us, and may we honor his memory by living with the same kindness and generosity that he exemplified each day of his life.
