GARRETT A. DECKER

September 7, 1957 — February 17, 2026

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Garrett A. Decker, fondly known as Gary, who departed this world on February 17, 2026, after a courageous battle with ongoing health issues. Gary was surrounded by love and care at Shannon Medical Center when he took his final breath. Born on September 7, 1957, in Warren County, Pennsylvania, Gary's life was a testament to resilience, love, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends. Gary was the beloved son of the late Beatrice J. (Allio) and Henry Decker, and he carried their legacy forward with grace and dignity. He was predeceased by his first wife, Karen Cameron, and his cherished nephew, Jeff Ditty. Despite these profound losses, Gary's heart remained open, and he found love once again with his devoted wife, Becky Decker, who stood by his side with strength and unwavering support. He leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory forever. His sons, Brian (Kynwyn) and Chad (Jen), were his pride and joy, and he embraced his role as a father with warmth and wisdom. Gary was also blessed with two bonus daughters, Rachel (Zac) and Ashley (Tyler), who he loved as his own. His legacy will live on through his seven adoring grandchildren: Wyatt, Braydon, Tessa, Mattie, Owen, Miles, Evangeline, and Charlotte, who will carry forward his spirit and values. Gary's family extended beyond blood ties. He was a brother to James Decker (Bobbi Jo) and Arlene Stoyer, who resides in Texas. His heart was always open to his Texas nieces and nephews: Steph (Eric), Joe (Kelly), Jimmy (Heather), and Cassie, along with their children, his great nieces and nephews, who brought him endless joy. A proud graduate of West Forest High School, Gary valued education and knowledge. He had an adventurous spirit, which led him to enjoy hunting and fishing, pursuits that connected him to nature and brought him peace. Gary was also an avid board game and card player, relishing the moments of laughter and camaraderie shared with family and friends around the table. Gary's friendship was cherished by many, including his long-time Pennsylvania friends, Bill Caven and John Poth, with whom he shared countless memories and adventures. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Gary's life, as per his family's wishes. While we mourn the loss of this remarkable man, we also celebrate the indelible mark he left on each of our lives. His kindness, humor, and unwavering love will forever be etched in our hearts. In this time of grief, we find solace in knowing that Gary is reunited with his loved ones who have gone before him. May he rest in eternal peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
