It is with profound sadness yet gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Garrett A. Decker, affectionately known as Gary, on February 17, 2026. Born on September 7, 1957, in Warren County, Pennsylvania, Gary was a beacon of warmth, humor, and dedication to family and friends.
Gary's journey began in the heart of Pennsylvania, where he was raised by his loving parents, the late Beatrice J. (Allio) and Henry Decker. He embarked on a life enriched by love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys. A proud alumnus of West Forest High School, Gary carried the lessons and friendships from his school days throughout his life.
In his personal life, Gary was blessed with the love of two remarkable women. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Karen Cameron, whose memory he cherished dearly. Later, he found love again with his devoted wife, Becky Decker, who survives him.
Gary was a proud and loving father to his sons, Brian (Kynwyn) and Chad (Jen), and a cherished father figure to his bonus daughters, Rachel (Zac) and Ashley (Tyler), all residing in Pennsylvania. His legacy includes his adored grandchildren: Wyatt, Braydon, Tessa, Mattie, Owen, Miles, Evangeline, and Charlotte, who brought him immense joy and pride.
Family meant everything to Gary, and he maintained close bonds with his brother, James Decker (Bobbi Jo), and sister, Arlene Stoyer from Texas. He took great pleasure in nurturing relationships with his Texas nieces and nephews, Steph (Eric), Joe (Kelly), Jimmy (Heather), and Cassie, and all the great-nieces and nephews who were a testament to the love that surrounded him. he was predeceased by nephew jeff ditty.
Gary's life was a tapestry of vibrant threads woven together by his passions and interests. An avid outdoorsman, he found peace and camaraderie in hunting and fishing. His love for these activities was matched only by his enthusiasm for playing board games and cards with those he held dear. His laughter and competitive spirit were contagious, leaving lasting memories with family and friends alike.
Gary's enduring friendships were a testament to his loyal and generous nature. He held a special place in his heart for his long-time Pennsylvania friends, Bill Caven and John Poth, whose companionship enriched his life in countless ways.
A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Gary's life, allowing family and close friends to reflect on the memories shared and the indelible mark he left on their hearts.
Though we mourn Gary's passing, we celebrate the incredible life he led, the love he gave, and the legacy he leaves behind. His spirit will continue to guide us, reminding us to cherish every moment and to hold our loved ones close. May he rest in peace, forever remembered and forever loved.
