Garren Pai
June 17, 2010 — June 17, 2025
It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the untimely passing of Garren Pai, a cherished son, friend, and member of our community, who tragically left us on June 17, 2025, his fifteenth birthday. Garren was born on June 17, 2010, in New Hyde Park, and he made an indelible mark on all those who were fortunate enough to know him in his brief time with us.
Garren was a dedicated student at Herricks High School on Long Island, where he nurtured his love for learning and developed friendships that celebrated his unique personality. Though he did not have the chance to embark on a career or military service, Garren made a lasting impact through his vibrant interests and the communities he cherished.
An ardent enthusiast of the virtual world, Garren found joy and camaraderie in playing Minecraft, where his imagination knew no bounds. He was a proud member of Discord Nitro and shared his love for the game with countless others, fostering connections that spanned across digital landscapes. Outside of these realms, Garren was also an avid badminton player, demonstrating agility and enthusiasm on the court.
Garren's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. He harbored a deep admiration for anime, particularly for the character Gojo Satoru from "Jujutsu Kaisen," and had a fondness for white-haired men in these stories. His love for anime was a testament to his appreciation for storytelling and art, and it brought him great joy to immerse himself in these fantastical worlds.
Though Garren often described himself as "a very non-funny person," his unique sense of humor and perspective were cherished by those around him. He was a playful soul, who delighted in playing with trucks and action figures, and his presence was a comforting constant for his family and friends. Garren was known for his short stature and distinctive glasses, which only added to the charm that endeared him to so many.
A memorial service to celebrate Garren's life will be held on July 12, 2026, at 3:02 PM at the Roslyn Heights Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an organization that brings hope and joy to children, a fitting tribute to Garren's own spirit.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Aidan for organizing the memorial service and for the unwavering support from all who knew and loved Garren. In this time of grief, let us remember Garren for the light he brought into our lives and honor his legacy by cherishing the memories we shared with him.
Rest in peace, dear Garren. You will forever be missed and lovingly remembered.
