It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the peaceful passing of Garland Miles, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, who left this world gently at his home on October 19, 2026. Garland was born on May 22, 1942, in Dayton, Tennessee, to a world that would be forever brightened by his presence, compassion, and warmth. Garland lived a life filled with kindness and care for everyone he encountered. His genuine concern for others was evident in every interaction, leaving a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to know him. He was a pillar of strength and a beacon of empathy, always extending a helping hand and a listening ear. One of Garland's greatest passions in life was fishing. He found joy and tranquility in the gentle rhythm of the water, and he often shared this love with family and friends. His favorite moments were those spent by the shore, casting a line with his grandsons, Bentley and Carson, who were the pride and joy of his life. Garland is survived by his devoted son, Adam Wilson, and his cherished grandsons, Bentley and Carson Wilson. They, along with countless others, will carry forward the legacy of love and compassion that Garland instilled in them. A service to honor Garland's life and legacy will be held on October 23, 2026, at 4:01 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate the life of a man who touched so many hearts. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Garland's memory, continuing his spirit of compassion and generosity. Garland Miles will be dearly missed, but his memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire us each day.
