It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Gail Carroll, a beloved wife, sister, and friend, on February 9, 2026, at the age of 61. Born on January 31, 1965, in the sunny city of San Diego, California, Gail brought warmth and love to the lives of everyone she touched. She left this world surrounded by the love of her family, after bravely facing a long battle with cancer. Gail was the cherished daughter of Henry and Daisy Whitfield, who preceded her in death alongside her five sisters, Janice, Lori, Sharon, Joy, and Denise. Despite the loss of her parents and siblings, Gail's spirit remained unbroken, a testament to her resilience and unwavering positivity. She found immense joy and fulfillment in her role as a devoted wife to Willie Carroll, with whom she shared 20 wonderful years of marriage. Her legacy continues through her surviving sisters, Cheryle Barnes of Phoenix, AZ, Carol Brown of Las Vegas, NV, and Latoya Greene of New York, who remember her as a source of strength and inspiration. Gail's family was her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them, always providing love, support, and laughter. Gail's life will be celebrated at a memorial service on March 9, 2026, at 11:00 AM, held at Grace Baptist Church, located at 4637 Oregon Street, San Diego, CA 92116. Family, friends, and all whose lives she touched are invited to gather and honor her memory, sharing stories and remembering the joy she brought to so many. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the Memorial hospital staff for their compassionate care, which comforted us during this difficult time. Their dedication, professionalism, and kindness from nurses and doctors made a profound difference and will always be remembered. Gail Carroll leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and resilience. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her, and her memory will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to be part of her life. She taught us the value of family, the strength found in adversity, and the importance of living each day with kindness and grace. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Gail's honor to support cancer research, ensuring that her fight continues to inspire hope and healing for others. Rest in peace, dear Gail. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
