Gabriel N. Corona, a cherished father, devoted brother, and loyal friend, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on March 18, 1939, in the vibrant town of Seguin, Texas, Gabriel was the beloved son of the late Valentine and Yrenia N. Corona. He is now reunited in eternal rest with his parents and siblings, Gabriel Corona Jr., Guadalupe Cordova, Pauline Lira, and Otilia Palacios.
Gabriel lived a life full of dedication and hard work, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He spent many years as an OTR truck driver, where his travels allowed him to see the beauty of the country he loved. Later, he honed his skills as an equipment operator and carpenter, where his intelligence and meticulous attention to detail shone brightly.
A man of faith, Gabriel was an active and dedicated member of Guadalupe Church, where he forged lasting friendships and contributed to the community with his generous spirit. His hobbies reflected his love for the outdoors and included vegetable gardening, baseball, football, and camping. Whether tending to his garden or cheering on his favorite teams, Gabriel approached all his interests with enthusiasm and a joyful heart.
Gabriel's greatest joy came from his family. He is survived by his loving children, Albert (Leticia) Corona, Irma (Noe) Flores, Irene (Arnold) Moreno, and Darlene Ishee. His legacy of love, humor, and giving nature will continue to inspire them for generations to come. Known for his quick wit and kind heart, Gabriel had a remarkable ability to light up a room with laughter and warmth, making everyone feel valued and cherished.
In honor of Gabriel's generous spirit, the family suggests that donations be made to a charity of your choice. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude for the love and support they have received during this difficult time.
