Born on April 24, 1943, in the vibrant Bronx, New York, Fredric was the cherished son of Philip and Theresa Nardecchia. He embraced life with an open heart and a spirited enthusiasm that left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Fredric's life was a testament to the power of family, faith, and friendship. He was blessed with a loving marriage to Mary Ann Nardecchia, who stood by his side through every joy and challenge, and together they nurtured a beautiful family that became his greatest pride and joy. Fredric was a devoted father to his six surviving children: Andrew, Anthony, Nicole, Joseph, Mollie, and Jennifer, each of whom he loved deeply and unconditionally. Though he was predeceased by his beloved son Dominic, Fredric's heart remained full with the love and memories they shared.
A graduate of St. Helen High School and New York University, Fredric's intellectual curiosity and passion for problem-solving led him to a distinguished career as an electrical engineer, where he applied his talents to projects spanning the globe. His adventurous spirit also inspired him to explore entrepreneurial ventures in the logging industry and photography, endeavors that showcased his creativity and drive.
Fredric's life was guided by his unwavering Catholic faith and a genuine desire to uplift those around him. He dedicated countless hours to volunteering, particularly with underserved children, and he brought joy and compassion to those he served. His commitment to his parish, Our Lady of the Sun, reflected his profound love for his church community.
A man of many talents, Fredric's hobbies mirrored his adventurous nature and artistic flair. He was a skilled woodworker, creating beautiful art pieces in his backyard, and he found peace and happiness near the ocean, whether scuba diving, kayaking, or boating. His love for life’s simple pleasures was evident in his joy of hosting backyard barbecues, playing cornhole, and sharing laughter with family and friends.
Fredric was known for his warmth, humor, and quick wit. His charismatic personality made everyone feel at ease, and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life was a testament to his genuine kindness. He embraced every conversation with enthusiasm, exploring topics from engineering to future innovations with an open mind and heart.
Fredric leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering faith. He is survived by his nine adoring grandchildren: Elizabeth (Lizzie), Dominic (Nick), Eleanor (Ella), Olivia, Everett, Connor, Freya, Isla, and Ethan Luca, who will carry forward his spirit and joy for life. He is also survived by his sisters Joan Shepard and Irene Dunphy, his sons-in-law Kurtis Milton and Nicholas Kramer, and his daughters-in-law Katy Nardecchia and Chelsea Wyatt.
In honoring Fredric’s wishes, a private ceremony will be held to celebrate his remarkable life. Though he has left this world, the memories and love he shared will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
