It is with profound sadness and tenderness that we announce the passing of Frederick M. Sanders Jr., a cherished soul whose light touched so many lives. Frederick passed away on June 22, 2026, at the age of 39. He was born on September 12, 1986, in the welcoming embrace of Houma, Louisiana, to his loving parents, Lisa Hill Sanders and Frederick M. Sanders Sr.
Frederick was a man of many passions and talents. A proud graduate of Thibodaux High School in 2004, he later pursued his dreams by studying Cyber Security at Southern New Hampshire University, where he was poised to graduate in December 2026. His dedication to learning and bettering himself was an inspiration to all who knew him.
A true patriot, Frederick served honorably in the United States Navy for eight years, a testament to his unwavering commitment to his country and community. After completing his service, he joined the team at PepsiCo, where he worked as a Maintenance Operator for 13 years. His colleagues remember him not only for his work ethic but also for his infectious smile and amazing personality that never failed to brighten the day.
Frederick’s life was enriched by his myriad of interests. He found joy behind the lens, capturing the world through his love of photography. Music and drawing were his muses, allowing him to express his creativity freely. He was also an adrenaline enthusiast, finding excitement in racing and tinkering with his beloved car. Above all, Frederick treasured the moments spent traveling and sharing life’s journey with his beloved wife, Shannika, and his family.
On April 11, 2015, in Isle of Wight County, Virginia, Frederick married the love of his life, Shannika Sanders. Their union was a beacon of love and devotion, and together they created a family filled with warmth and laughter. Frederick is survived by Shannika, his loving wife of 11 years, and his children, Lacretia Sanders, Dorrien Sanders, Feronte' Miller, and Freshonte' Sanders, who will carry forward his legacy of love and strength.
Frederick was predeceased by his grandparents, Shirley L. Hill, Albertha Duncan Sanders, and Charles Tom Sanders Sr., whose spirits now welcome him home.
In this time of mourning, the family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to CC Carter for their unwavering support and compassion during this difficult period.
As we gather to celebrate Frederick’s remarkable life, we remember him as a devoted husband, a loving father, a loyal friend, and a kind-hearted soul who left an indelible mark on all who knew him. His legacy of love, laughter, and light will continue to inspire us all.
A private remembrance will be held with family and close friends to honor Frederick’s life and the joy he brought into the world. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Frederick’s memory.
