It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Frederick Hagen, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many. Frederick departed this world on March 26, 2026, at the age of 73. He passed away at home in the comforting presence of his loved ones, after a courageous and inspiring battle with cancer. Born on April 7, 1952, in the vibrant city of Kansas City, Frederick was the cherished son of Lovie Lee and Eddie Hagen. His early years were marked by a depth of curiosity and a love for his family, which laid the foundation for a life filled with compassion, wisdom, and enduring resilience. Frederick found the love of his life in Margarita Ray, whom he married in February of 1986. Together, they crafted a beautiful life, rich with love and laughter. Though Margarita preceded him in death, their bond remained an unbreakable source of strength and inspiration for Frederick throughout his life. Frederick's legacy lives on through his two devoted sons, Frederick Hagen Jr. and Rico Hagen, who continue to carry forward their father's indomitable spirit and values. He was a proud grandfather to four wonderful grandchildren, each of whom he adored and cherished, always finding time to share stories and lessons that will undoubtedly guide them throughout their lives. The blessings of family continued to multiply with the joy of two great-grandchildren, who brought Frederick immense happiness during his final years. Frederick's life was a testament to the power of love, perseverance, and community. His warm smile and gentle demeanor left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was a man of integrity and kindness, whose generosity and empathy knew no bounds. Frederick's life was marked by a commitment to making the world a better place, one small act of kindness at a time. As we remember Frederick, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to those he held dear. His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of his family and friends, who were privileged to have known and loved such a remarkable man. A private memorial service will be held to honor Frederick's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to cancer research foundations, in the hope of advancing the fight against the illness that Frederick bravely battled. Frederick Hagen's spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy of love, strength, and resilience will be cherished for generations to come. May he rest in eternal peace.
