In Loving Memory

Freddie Woodall
April 23, 1944 — February 28, 2026
It is with profound love and deep respect that we celebrate the life of Freddie Woodall, a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, surrounded by the warmth of his family. Born on April 23, 1944, in Fairburn, Georgia, Freddie's life was a testament to resilience, love, and unwavering faith.
Freddie was the beloved son of the late Freddie James Woodall Sr. and Mattie Jean Woodall. He was predeceased by his parents, his three brothers, Earl Woodall, Willie James Woodall, and JC Woodall, and his two sisters, Reese Woodall and Freddie Jean Woodall. Despite these profound losses, Freddie's heart remained full, enriched by the countless memories shared with his family.
Freddie's journey began in Fairburn, where he graduated from Leake County High School in 1962. He went on to dedicate over 30 years of service to General Motors, demonstrating an unparalleled work ethic and commitment until an injury in 1992 led him to redefine what it meant to live life with grace and resilience, as a quadriplegic.
In 1965, Freddie married the love of his life, Dorthy, with whom he shared a blessed union for 57 years until her passing in May 2022. Together, they built a loving family that was the center of Freddie’s universe. He is survived by his eight devoted children: Willie J Bailey, Robert J Woodall and his wife Cathy, Fredrick Woodall, Reginald Woodall, Nick Quinn and his wife Jacqualine, Larry Quinn and his wife Jackiee, Terrance Morris and his wife Keshia, and his daughter Frances Lonie-Adams and her husband, Minister Laramie Adams Jr. Freddie's legacy is further carried forward by his 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, all of whom were touched by his boundless love and infectious smile.
Freddie was also a beloved brother to Virgall Woodall and Earnest Woodall, who along with his sister-in-law Liz, cherished the time spent with him. His extended family of nieces, nephews, and countless friends were all embraced by his open heart and welcoming spirit.
A dedicated member of Rhodes Creek MB Church for over 40 years, Freddie served as an Honorary Trustee, leaving an indelible mark on the community with his commitment to faith and fellowship. His love for traveling and spending time with family encapsulated his belief that every moment was precious, and every person he met was to be cherished.
Freddie's life was characterized by his "HEART of GOLD" and a smile that could light up the darkest room. He never met a stranger; everyone he encountered was greeted with warmth and kindness, instantly becoming family or friend.
A service to honor Freddie's remarkable life will be held on March 3, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Elizabeth Baptist Church, located at 4245 Cascade Rd, Atlanta, GA 30321. As we gather to remember Freddie, the Woodall family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Baptist Medical Central for their compassionate care during his hospitalization. They also wish to express their deepest appreciation to those who called, texted, visited, and offered prayers during this time of bereavement.
Freddie Woodall's legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we say farewell, we hold his memory in our hearts, forever grateful for the time we shared with such a remarkable soul.
