Freddie Mae Hill

November 16, 1933 — September 23, 2026

A Proud Legacy A Time to Be Born: Ecclesiastes 3:2 Freddie was born on November 16, 2933 to the late Freddie Singleton and Ruth Steward Mallard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Hill Jr. and her stepson in love, Raymond Hill III. Upon graduating from Woodsville High School, she developed a love for teaching. She then attended Savannah State College, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1957 and became an Educator within the Savannah Chatham County School System for over thirty years. She retired in 1989 from the Public School System. A Time to Love: Ecclesiastes 3:8 Freddie was united in marriage to Raymond Hill Jr. whom she loved dearly. They spent many vacations together traveling abroad. Raymond was an avid golf player and Freddie took an interest in the sport and played a little herself. They both took a special interest in the education of young people and supported many of them financially to attend college. A Time to Live: Isaiah 38:16 Freddie made the decision to become to become one of Jehovah's Witnesses and was baptized in July 1972. She embarked upon another form of education by becoming a Pioneer (fulltime minister) in 1990. Spending many hours teaching others the Bible truths that she had learned. Her desire to teach was so strong that it motivated her to share her knowledge with everyone, even individuals confined to Nursing homes and special care facilities. Giving them hope for the future of living on a Paradise earth free from sickness, pain, and death. Teaching other was Freddie's life's work. To become a proficient teacher, she attended Pioneer Service School for fulltime ministers. A Time to Mourn: Ecclesiatses 3:4 Many of us will reflect fondly upon our memories of Freddie. She became a close friend to many, a trusted confidant, a very generous Auntie, and a tireless companion to anyone who could keep up with her in the ministry. Most of all she was a loving mother and grandmother. She leaves to cherish Tempie Williams, her step daughter in love, Tara Williams and Tramaine Jones, her step granddaughters in love, Nicholas Williams, Chauncey Jones and Cheyenne Jones, her step great grandchildren in love, and Jonah, her great great grandson in love. She also leave to cherish her a host cousins.
