Born on October 18, 1939, in Tampa, Florida, Freddie was the beloved daughter of James and Genevieve Campbell. She was preceded in death by her parents, her step son James "Andy" her brothers, William "Bill" and James "Jim," and her devoted husband, Gerald "Rick." Freddie's life was a testament to kindness, laughter, and unwavering compassion. She graduated from Hillsborough High School and pursued her passion for caring for others by attending Gordon Keller College of Nursing. Throughout her career as a nurse, Freddie was a beacon of hope, providing laughter and compassionate care to countless patients. Her dedication to her profession was matched only by her genuine warmth and infectious smile, which made her a friend to all who crossed her path. A devoted member of Forest Hills Presbyterian Church, Freddie found joy in her faith and her community. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her professional life, as she was a loving mother to her son, Glenn "Greg," and a beloved mother-in-law to Shantenese "Nese." Her grandchildren, Skylar and Saige, were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Freddie's home was always filled with love, laughter, and the company of close friends and family. She found immense joy in being surrounded by those she adored and was known for her ability to make everyone feel welcomed and cherished. As we celebrate the life of Freddie Jo Green Rickerson, we remember a woman whose smile could light up a room and whose laugh was a source of joy to all.
