Franklyn Peter St. Louis was born on December 2, 1954, in Clinton, Massachusetts, to Ronald and Emily (Benway) St. Louis. He passed away peacefully at his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on September 11, 2026, at the age of 71.
A longtime resident of the Fountain Valley area, Frank spent his early years moving throughout the United States and abroad with his family. They lived in Massachusetts, Florida, Connecticut, and Virginia before relocating to Germany during his father's military assignment. While there, the family resided in Frankfurt, Bamberg, Erlangen, and Fürth, where Frank attended Nuremberg American High School. In 1972, the family returned to the United States, settling first in Clinton, Massachusetts, before moving to Widefield, Colorado. Frank attended Widefield High School and later continued his education in Arkansas.
Frank proudly served in the United States Army from October 1974 to 1977. During his military service, he attended St. Mary's College and attained the rank of Specialist Five (SP5), a distinction that remained a source of pride throughout his life. Frank and Robin met when they both worked on Fort Carson in the Directorate of Morale, Welfare and Recreation, continuing to serve soldiers and their families. He often reflected fondly on his military service and the camaraderie he experienced while serving his country.
For many years, Frank lived on a farm in Kansas with his first wife, Judy (Weaver) St. Louis, where they raised their sons, Alan and Richard. Eventually, he returned to Colorado, where he remained close to family and friends and continued to build a life filled with adventure and cherished memories.
Frank loved spending time with family and friends and was always ready for an adventure. Those who knew him remember countless fishing and camping trips, as well as excursions into the Colorado mountains, even when the snow was deep. Following retirement, he frequently traveled to Georgia to visit family, enjoying his favorite pastimes of fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors. His favorite saying, and one by which he lived his life, was: "You're the captain of your own ship, never let anyone else take the helm."
On December 20, 2022, Frank married the love of his life, Robin, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Together they shared a deep bond and many happy memories.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Robin, and her family; his sons, Alan (Heather) St. Louis and Richard St. Louis; his grandson, Anthony St. Louis (Loke) and their four children, Zariah, Zander, Zaccheus, Zoya “Frankie”; his granddaughter, Mellanie, and her daughter, Lily; and grandsons Brice and and Braxton.
He is also survived by his siblings: brother Larry St. Louis of Georgia; sister Nancy Beyer (Alan) of Littleton, Colorado; brother Gary St. Louis (Sherrel) of Georgia, their daughter Jasmine Riel (Michael) and children, JB and Irelyn, and their son Gary C. St. Louis (Nika) and son, Nile; brother Raymond St. Louis of Fountain, Colorado; and brother Roger St. Louis (Sonia) and their daughter, Keila.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Emily St. Louis; his brother, James St. Louis, whose wife, Sherry, survives in California; and his first wife, Judy St. Louis.
Frank will be remembered for his love of family, his dedication to his country, his adventurous spirit, and the kindness and humor he shared with those around him. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched and, in the family, he loved so deeply.

The 23rd Psalm
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me
in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil;
my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
for ever.
"I took a walk in the woods and came out taller than the trees."
—Henry David Thoreau
