December 21, 1963 — August 10, 2026

Frankie Lee Waddell Sr., born on December 21, 1963, in Beckley, West Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on August 10, 2026. He was a man whose life was woven with love, dedication, and a deep connection to family and nature. Frankie was the beloved son of the late Bobbie (Bob) Waddell and Nadine Waddell Kenworthy. His early years in Beckley were filled with the kind of warmth and adventure that only a spirited soul like his could create. He was blessed with the love and guidance of his stepmother, Ruby Gay Waddell, all of whom have predeceased him, along with his brothers, David and Jimmy Waddell, and his sister, Debra Welp. Frankie leaves behind a legacy of love through his children, daughter Cindy James (Geary) and son Frankie Waddell II of Conway, SC, as well as his cherished granddaughter, Mckenna James. His siblings, Joann Parsons, Lisa Mcvey, Bobbie Waddell (Sharon), and Jim Elder, will forever hold dear the memories and the laughter they shared with their brother. A man of the earth, Frankie spent many years working diligently as a grave digger and all-around handyman. His work was a testament to his strength, reliability, and unwavering dedication to his community. Outside of work, Frankie found joy and solace in the great outdoors. An avid fisherman, he cherished the peaceful moments spent by the water. His passion for hunting and target shooting was only rivaled by the pride he felt watching his son compete in gun shooting competitions. Frankie's life was celebrated in a private ceremony, honoring his wishes to be remembered intimately by those he loved most. In memory of Frankie, the family suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice, in lieu of flowers, as a way to honor Frankie's generous spirit and the love he shared with so many. His legacy will continue to inspire and warm the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
