It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Frank L. DiRienzo Jr., who left us on May 29, 2026, at the age of 74, after a courageous battle with a long illness. Born on November 12, 1951, in Stoneham, Massachusetts, Frank was a beacon of strength, kindness, and humor to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Frank was the beloved son of the late Frank and Rita DiRienzo and is now reunited with them in peace. He is survived by his devoted wife, Carol, with whom he shared 43 cherished years of marriage since their union on June 18, 1983. Together, they built a life full of love and adventure, and Carol stood by his side through all of life's trials and triumphs. A dedicated father, Frank leaves behind his children: Frankie (Shannon) DiRienzo, Michael (Haila) DiRienzo, and Veronica DiRienzo, who will forever hold his memory in their hearts. His legacy lives on in his grandchildren, Haley, Skyla, and Frankie, who brought him immense joy and pride. Frank's brother Michael (Diane) DiRienzo and sister Brenda Tremblay, along with his nephews Joey (Lori) DiRienzo, Robert (Joanne) DiRienzo, and Vincent (Karen) DiRienzo, will miss his guiding presence. He is predeceased by his nephew, Michael DiRienzo, who he joins in eternal rest. Frank's family extends across Massachusetts, Rumford, Maine, and the United States, where many relatives will remember him fondly. Frank was a proud alumnus of Malden High School and vocational school, where he honed his skills to become a machinist. His career took him from Peabody, Massachusetts, to the heights of the Aerospace industry in California and Canada. His professional journey reached a pinnacle with the founding of Eagle Aerospace alongside Carol, a testament to their shared vision and determination. Frank's expertise and integrity earned him great respect within the Aerospace community. A man of many talents, Frank enjoyed the intricate world of computers, often challenging himself by building his own. He was a man of action, always embodying the spirit of Frank Sinatra’s anthem, "I did it my way." His humor, generosity, and unwavering support left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Frank's family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff of Day Kimball home care, particularly the hospice nurses, as well as the doctors and nurses who provided exceptional care. The Bungay Fire Department and the community of neighbors and friends offered steadfast support for which the family is profoundly grateful. A celebration of Frank's life will be held at Smith and Walker Funeral Home, located at 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT 06260. In this time of remembrance, we invite all who were touched by Frank's life to join us in honoring his memory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Frank's name, as a tribute to the kindness and generosity he embodied throughout his life. Thank you for your unwavering support, prayers, and kindness during this difficult time. Your presence and love have brought us comfort as we remember and honor the remarkable life of Frank L. DiRienzo Jr.
