It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Frank J Wilks, whose life was a beacon of love and kindness. Born on March 3, 1943, in Brownsville, TN, Frank departed this world on September 25, 2026, surrounded by his devoted family. Frank was the cherished son of the late Countee and Edna Marie Wilks. He grew up in a loving family, alongside his sisters Florence, Irma Lee, Ella Mae, and Earlene, and brothers Louis and Buddy, who have all predeceased him. Despite the losses he endured, Frank carried forward the strength and warmth imparted by his family. In 1995, Frank married the love of his life, Sheila Wilks. Their union was blessed with five beautiful children: Franklin Wilks, Shetonja Wilks, KaSean Wilks, Rasha Wilks, and Zari Wilks. Frank was also a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life. A man of profound integrity and valor, Frank joined the United States Army and bravely served in the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he became a highly esteemed businessman throughout the Chicagoland area. Known for his loving and caring personality, Frank's smile was so radiant it could brighten five rooms at once. Frank's life will be celebrated on October 10, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Butler Funeral Home, located at 12140 Morang Ave. Family, friends, and all those touched by his light are invited to honor and remember his remarkable life. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Frank's memory may make donations to a charity of their choice, continuing his legacy of compassion and generosity. Frank's passing leaves a void that can never truly be filled, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and resilience, and he will be deeply missed by many.
