Frank Conrad Schneider III
February 2, 1947 — June 11, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and deep appreciation for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Frank Conrad Schneider III, who departed this world peacefully at home on June 11, 2026. Born on February 2, 1947, in Silver Springs, Maryland, Frank was a beacon of kindness and strength to all who knew him.
Frank was the cherished son of Margot Keys and Frank C. Schneider, who predeceased him, as did his beloved sister, Donna Schneider. He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Phyillis (Scott) Schneider, with whom he built a loving family and shared a lifetime of memories. Together, they were blessed with three children: Frank Schneider, who is married to Joanna; Anjonette Brunner, who is married to Richard; and Stacey Lambour. Frank's legacy continues through his seven grandchildren—Zachary, Austin, Peyton, BreeAnn, Shelby, Noah, and Ella-Rose—and three great-grandchildren, Chandler, Casen, and Cohen. He is also survived by his sister, Carol, who shared countless family gatherings and celebrations with him.
Frank's life was marked by a dedication to education and service. After graduating from Richard Montgomery High School in 1965, he pursued higher education with determination, earning a Bachelor's degree in Business from Shenandoah University and a Master's degree in Education from George Washington University. His commitment to nurturing the potential of others was evident in his long and rewarding career as a Transition Support Teacher at Montgomery County Public Schools, where he served diligently from 1971 until his retirement in 2008. Frank's influence on his students and colleagues was profound, and his dedication to education left an indelible mark on the community.
A proud veteran, Frank served his country with honor in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. His experiences in the service instilled in him a lifelong commitment to supporting fellow veterans, a passion he expressed through active participation in the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 3522, where he was a revered member.
Outside of his professional and military endeavors, Frank found joy and solace in the company of family and friends. He was known for his warm, welcoming nature and his ability to make everyone feel at home. His beloved dog, Zippy, was a constant companion, and his love for animals was evident in the care and attention he devoted to them.
Frank's life was a testament to love, resilience, and the importance of community. He leaves behind a family deeply grateful for his guidance, love, and the example he set. While his physical presence will be profoundly missed, the values he instilled and the memories he created will continue to inspire and comfort all who knew him.
A private family service will be held to honor Frank's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Frank's memory to a charity supporting veterans or educational initiatives, causes close to his heart.
Frank Conrad Schneider III's journey on this earth may have ended, but his spirit and love will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched. May he rest in eternal peace.
