Frank Chavez, a man cherished for his warmth, humor, and immense heart, passed away on May 21, 2026, at the age of 74. Born in Glendale, Arizona on December 3, 1951, Frank was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and a life well-lived. Frank was the son of Manuel Chavez and Elvira Alva. He was predeceased by his parents and his siblings, Raymond, Tony, Robert, Jerry, Richard, and Gloria. Their memories and spirits have guided him throughout his life, and now they are joyfully reunited. In 2007, Frank married his soulmate, Kristina, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter in Phoenix, Arizona. Their home was a sanctuary for their children and grandchildren, and it was there that Frank found his greatest joy—spending time with his family. Frank's heart was as vast as his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Kristina, and their children: Melissa, Frankie, Patrick, and Sesilee. He also embraced his stepchildren, David, Monique, Nicholas, and Briana, as his own. His nine grandchildren, Jaun, Johnathan, Joshua, Gabriel, Larissa, Lily, Ayita, Ethan, and Feliciana, were the light of his life, each carrying a piece of their grandfather's spirit and humor. Frank's career was marked by dedication and hard work. He served the city of Phoenix with pride until his retirement in 2016. Not one to fully slow down, Frank continued to contribute to his community as a part-time mail courier for APS from 2018 until 2024. His work ethic and commitment were admired by colleagues and friends alike. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Frank's heart truly belonged to his hobbies and passions. He was a skilled billiards player, a lover of music, and an enthusiastic dancer. His laughter, often accompanied by one of his signature corny jokes, was infectious, and his smile could light up any room. Though occasionally stubborn, it was his heart of gold and willingness to help family and friends that defined him. A celebration of Frank's life will be held on June 6, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Catalyst Church, located at 3830 N 67th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85033. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories, honoring a man whose life was a testament to love, laughter, and unwavering kindness. The Chavez family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their support and prayers during this difficult time. Frank's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
