Frank Albert Racine

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frank Albert Racine, who left this world on August 12, 2026, while doing what he loved most—working on a cabin at his cherished Racine Basin. Born on November 10, 1965, in Browning, Montana, Frank's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and stories that will echo in the hearts of all who knew him. Frank was the beloved son of the late Donald J. Racine and Jeanne E. Brophy, both of whom preceded him in death. He shared a special bond with his brother, Dan Racine, and together they navigated the adventures and mischief of childhood in their beautiful hometown. A proud graduate of Browning High School's class of 1977, Frank was an active member of the Rodeo Club and enjoyed every moment of his high school years. His love for his community led him to work for various Tribal Programs, including serving as security at the Casino and as a member of the Volunteer Fire Department at East Glacier. His dedication to his work was evident in every role he undertook. Frank's life was enriched by his marriage to Roberta Vielle, his devoted wife and partner in all things. Together, they raised two wonderful sons and later adopted their cherished daughter, Lynn, who brought immense joy and laughter into their lives. Frank's family was the cornerstone of his existence, and he treasured every moment spent with them. Known for his larger-than-life personality, Frank was a master storyteller and a man who never met a stranger. He delighted in taking his beloved wife on scenic rides around the reservation and cherished his annual hunting trips, where he shared tales with his best friend, Humphrey Rutherford. Frank's warmth and humor left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Billedeaux Construction for their kindness and support in assisting Frank during his final moments. A memorial service to celebrate Frank's life will be held on August 21, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Little Flower Parish, located at 202 1st Street N.W. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice, honoring Frank's spirit of generosity and community. As we gather to remember Frank, let us share stories and memories that reflect his vibrant spirit and the profound impact he had on our lives.
