Francisco Granillo

May 13, 1967 — May 4, 2026

It is with profound sadness and enduring love that we announce the passing of Francisco Granillo, affectionately known as "Pancho," who left us peacefully on May 4, 2026, just shy of his 59th birthday. Born on May 13, 1967, in Tucson, Arizona, Pancho lived a life full of laughter, love, and dedication to his family and community. Pancho was a beacon of joy and a pillar of strength to all who knew him. The son of the late Connie Lopez and Theodoro Granillo, he was raised in a family that cherished togetherness and resilience. He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Tito Vargas and Francisco Xavier Granillo (affectionately referred to as "Sugar"), and his beloved granddaughter, Clarissa Solis. The reunion in the heavens must be a joyous one. Pancho leaves behind a legacy of love through his son, James Solis, and his partner, Monica Arvizu, who was his cherished companion and confidante. His sisters Cindy, Joann, Christine, and Nadine (George), along with his brother Teodoro Granillo, remember him as the heart of their family gatherings. His five cherished grandchildren—Gabriel Solis, Alyssa Solis, Ava Solis, and two other precious souls—will carry forward his infectious laughter and the life lessons he imparted. Pancho was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan, a passion that became a cherished tradition passed through generations. His vibrant spirit was unmatched; he was the life of every gathering, known for his loud, lively personality, and his legendary thumb trick that never failed to captivate the children in his life. Pancho's humor was a gift he shared freely, bringing light into the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Beyond his humor, Pancho was known for his willingness to lend a helping hand. Whether it was fixing something around the house or teaching others how to build and create, he shared his knowledge generously. His skills and generosity knew no bounds, and he enriched the lives of his 27 nieces and nephews, as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly. Pancho’s life was a testament to the virtues of kindness, generosity, and love. His memory will forever be cherished by his family, his friends, and the countless individuals whose lives he touched with his laughter and his unwavering support. A celebration of Pancho's life will be held at a later date, where stories will be shared, and his joyous spirit will continue to inspire us all. In honoring his legacy, we remember the laughter he brought, the love he shared, and the life he embraced so fully. Rest in peace, dear Pancho. Your spirit will forever illuminate our hearts.
