It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Francisca Muniz Sanchez, who departed this life peacefully at home, surrounded by her cherished family, on October 26, 2026. Born on May 2, 1938, in the vibrant town of Matamoros Tamaulipas, Francisca graced the world with her strength, warmth, and unwavering love for 88 beautiful years. Francisca was a beacon of light and love, sharing her boundless compassion and kindness with everyone she met. She was predeceased by her adored husband, Guadalupe Muniz, with whom she shared a life filled with laughter, adventure, and unwavering devotion. Together, they built a family that stands as a testament to their enduring love and commitment. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her children, Maria Isabel Ramirez, Andrea Castillo, and Joseluiz Muniz, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. Francisca was also the proud and doting grandmother to five grandchildren, Jose Calvillo, Andrea Calvillo, Ares Ramos, Liliana Alcantar, Akane de Leon who were her greatest pride and joy. Throughout her life, Francisca dedicated herself to nurturing her family and community. Her home was a haven of warmth and hospitality, where everyone felt welcome. Her culinary talents were legendary, and her kitchen was often filled with the comforting aromas of her traditional dishes, lovingly prepared and shared with family and friends. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Valley Baptist for the compassionate care they provided to Francisca during her final days. Their kindness and dedication brought comfort to both Francisca and her family. A service to celebrate Francisca's life will be held on October 29, 2026, at 1:30 PM at the Delta Funeral Home, located at 1300 Harrison St, Brownsville, TX 78520. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and pay their respects to a remarkable woman whose life touched so many. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Francisca's memory to a charity of your choice, honoring her generous spirit and lifelong dedication to helping others. Francisca Muniz Sanchez will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her legacy of love, kindness, and strength will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
