In Loving Memory

Frances Laverne chramek
April 24, 1933 — May 25, 2026
With grace, love, and a life well-lived, Frances Laverne Chramek, affectionately known as "Frannie" or "Lulu" by her loved ones, peacefully departed this world in her sleep on May 25, 2026. Born on April 24, 1933, in Altoona, Pennsylvania, Frannie was the beloved daughter of Alice and Tom Brophy. Her life was a testament to the power of family, friendship, and an enduring spirit.
Frannie married the love of her life, George Chramek, on December 27, 1951. Together, they built a warm and loving family, raising their cherished children, Frances Ann and George Chramek. As a family, they embarked on countless adventures, exploring nearly every state in the U.S. in their beloved camper van. Frannie held a special fondness for the gentle sands and soothing waves of Ocean City, Maryland, where she found peace sitting on the beach.
Her green thumb was well-known, as she spent countless joyful hours nurturing her garden with vibrant flowers that mirrored her own vivacious personality. But it wasn't just the beauty of nature she cultivated; Frannie also nurtured deep, lasting connections with her family and friends. Her home was a haven filled with laughter, the aroma of her legendary spaghetti and garden salad, and the warmth of shared stories and card games.
Frannie's generous spirit extended beyond her family. She was a beacon of kindness, always willing to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear. Her welcoming nature and infectious laughter left an indelible mark on everyone she met.
Preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Tom, her beloved husband George, and her dear sisters Mary Alice, Betty Osman, and Jane Shover, Frannie's legacy lives on through her children, Frances Ann and George, her four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. They will carry her love and light forward, ensuring that her spirit continues to touch future generations.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the team at Harmony of Waldorf for creating a wonderful environment for "Miss Frances" in her final years. Their dedication and care provided comfort and peace in her twilight years.
A celebration of Frannie's life will be held on June 1, 2026, at 3035 Old Washington Rd, Waldorf, MD, at the Huntt Funeral Home. As we gather to honor her memory, let us remember the joy and love she shared throughout her remarkable 93 years.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages those who wish to honor Frannie's memory to plant a flower or share a meal with loved ones, embracing the simple joys she cherished most in life. May her spirit continue to bloom in our hearts forever.
