Francelle Robison Collins

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Francelle Robison Collins, who peacefully departed this world on June 7, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on May 29, 1942, in Kerrville, Texas, Francelle's life was a testament to love, dedication, and community spirit. Francelle was the cherished daughter of Julia and Charlie Robison and stepfather Bill Storms, all of whom preceded her in death. She shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband, Dennis Collins, whom she married on a warm summer day, July 25, 1963, in her hometown of Kerrville. Their 65-year union was a tapestry of love, laughter, and shared adventures. Together, they lovingly raised two children, Kelli Collins and Chris Collins, and were blessed with three grandchildren: Elise, Garrett, and Grant Collins. Francelle's nurturing spirit extended beyond her family to the numerous cats and dogs that found a welcoming haven in her home. Francelle's educational journey began at Tivy High School in Kerrville, where she was a proud member of the Class of 1960. She furthered her studies at the University of Houston, a stepping stone that led her to a fulfilling career, teaching swimming lessons and working with a tutoring service. However, her most cherished role was that of a mother, where she devoted her energy and love to shaping the lives of her children. A passionate advocate for her community, Francelle dedicated 27 years to the Kerr County Historical Commission, serving 15 of those years as the Oral History Chairman. Her commitment to preserving the stories of Kerr County's influential figures was a source of pride and joy. Francelle was also an enthusiastic member of her high school class, maintaining close ties with her classmates throughout her life. Francelle's heart was as expansive as her garden, where she spent countless hours nurturing her beloved roses and other flora. Her love for animals was profound, and she and Dennis shared their lives with a delightful menagerie of pets. The family ranch was her sanctuary, a place where she and Dennis poured their hearts into creating a serene and beautiful retreat. Known for her warm smile and outgoing personality, Francelle never met a stranger. Her ability to connect with others transformed acquaintances into lifelong friends, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. Francelle is survived by her loving husband Dennis, her children Kelli and Chris (Laura), her brother Gerald Robison, nieces Mimi (Craig) Nieschwietz and Robyn (John) Ludwig, and nephew Bruce Robison. She was predeceased by her nephew Charlie Robison. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her grandchildren, Elise, Garrett, and Grant, who will carry forward her spirit of kindness and joy.
