It is with profound sadness and gentle solace in cherished memories that we announce the passing of Fran Ridings, who quietly left this world on March 5, 2026, at her cherished home, surrounded by the love and warmth of her family. Born on October 11, 1946, Fran was a beacon of kindness and creativity, touching the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. Fran was the beloved daughter of Charlie and Geraldine Meyer, both of whom predeceased her. She grew up in a home filled with love, alongside her brother, Robert Meyer, with whom she shared a lifelong bond. Fran’s journey through life was further enriched by her marriage to Jerry A. Ridings. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and unwavering devotion, until Jerry’s passing, which left a void in her heart but never dimmed the light of their shared memories. Fran’s life was a tapestry of love and creativity. Her passion for needlepoint and crafting was matched only by her joy in sharing these skills with others. Fran found immense pleasure in simple moments, particularly those spent camping with her husband and grandchildren, where nature's beauty served as the backdrop for family tales and treasured memories. A devoted mother, Fran is survived by her loving children: her son, Jerry L. Ridings and his wife, Rajeana, of Quinlan, Texas; her daughter, Tialisa Alpha and her husband, Paul, of Oklahoma; and her daughter, Silvia Reid of Colorado. Her legacy of love and kindness continues through her eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, each of whom carries forward her spirit of warmth and generosity. Fran will be remembered as a wonderful mother and a loving grandmother whose presence brought joy and comfort to her family. Her gentle spirit and nurturing soul created a haven of love and support for all who knew her. Though she may have left this world, the light she brought into our lives will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her family and friends. As we say goodbye, we hold onto the countless memories and the love she shared with all of us. Fran Ridings may have departed from this earthly realm, but her legacy of love, kindness, and creativity will endure, forever etched in the hearts of those she touched.
