Forest-Rain Pope Johnson, a beloved son, husband, and friend, passed away on August 14, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on March 30, 1987, in Conway, Forest-Rain brought light and laughter into the world from the very beginning. The cherished son of Howard and Skyland Johnson, Forest-Rain grew up with a spirit of kindness and a heart full of generosity. With a personality that could brighten any room, he was known for his hard work and his infectious laughter, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Forest-Rain shared a beautiful life with his devoted spouse, Ashley Johnson. Married for six wonderful years, they created a home filled with joy, love, and the playful antics of their seven cats and two dogs. Together, they built a life rich in companionship and happiness. His professional life was marked by dedication and diligence as he worked as a Night Auditor and Front Desk associate at the Suburban Econo-Lodge at the University in Conway Sc for five years. His colleagues and guests alike appreciated his commitment and friendly demeanor. Forest-Rain is survived by his loving spouse, Ashley, his parents Howard and Skyland Johnson, his mother-in-law Kathleen Waggoner, fathers-in-law Steve Medlin and Mike Waggoner, brother-in-law Joseph Medlin, and sister-in-law Candace Medlin. Each of them treasures the memories they shared with this remarkable man. A service to celebrate Forest-Rain's life will be held on August 29, 2026, at 1:00 PM at The Village at Calabash Clubhouse, located at 1099 Clubview Lane, Carolina Shores, NC. Family and friends will gather there to honor his memory and the profound impact he had on those around him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Forest-Rain's memory to the American Heart Association, a cause close to his heart. The family would like to express their profound gratitude to the staff at Conway Medical Center for their compassionate care during this critical time. Their kindness and dedication provided comfort during a challenging period. Forest-Rain Johnson will forever be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and the joy he brought to every life he touched. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
