Floyd Keplinger, a cherished soul and lifelong resident of West Virginia, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on January 14, 1934, in the humble town of Petersburg, WV, Floyd carried the spirit of the mountain state in his heart throughout his life. A devoted family man, he was predeceased by his beloved wife, with whom he shared 60 beautiful years of marriage, a testament to their unwavering love and commitment. Floyd's life was a testament to hard work, integrity, and compassion. He was a man who found profound joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was spending time outdoors, tending to his garden, or sharing stories with friends and family. His laughter was infectious, and his kindness was boundless, touching the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Floyd's legacy lives on through his loving family, who were the pride and joy of his life. He is survived by his devoted children: Eugene Keplinger of Albright, WV; Connie Sypolt and her husband Sonny of Kingwood, WV; Terry Keplinger of Albright, WV; Brenda Sypolt and her husband Scott of Kingwood, WV; Judy Fear and her husband Donnie of Bruceton Mills, WV; Billie Louk and her husband Harold of Kingwood, WV; Tammy and her husband David of Albright, WV; Cindy and her husband Troy of Kingwood, WV; and Ronald Keplinger of Albright, WV. Floyd's family extended further to include 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, each a cherished treasure that added to the joy and fullness of his life. Floyd was more than just a family man; he was a pillar of his community. His wisdom and support were a guiding light for many, and he was always willing to lend a hand or offer a word of encouragement. His gentle spirit and generous heart left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Throughout his 92 years, Floyd exemplified a life well-lived, surrounded by the love and laughter of family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and community spirit that will continue to inspire generations to come. A celebration of Floyd's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor this remarkable man who touched so many lives. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Floyd's memory to a local charity of choice, in keeping with his generous spirit. As we bid farewell to Floyd, we hold his memory close, grateful for the time we shared and comforted by the knowledge that his spirit will forever be with us. May he rest in eternal peace, reunited with his beloved wife and embraced by the love of those who have gone before him.
