It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Flover Castro, a beloved member of our family and community. Flover peacefully departed this world on June 2, 2026, at the age of 75, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication. Born on September 6, 1950, in the vibrant city of Cali, Colombia, Flover was the cherished child of Rosalva Rodriguez. From a young age, Flover exhibited a warmth and generosity that would define their life. Cali's rich culture and spirit were woven into Flover's being, shaping a life filled with passion and resilience. Throughout life, Flover was a beacon of strength and love, deeply committed to family and friends. Flover is survived by their beloved partner, Mary Naranjo, whose steadfast love and companionship were a source of immense joy and comfort. Flover's legacy is also carried on by children Cecar Castro, Kelly Castro, and Alexandra Castro, who were each profoundly influenced by Flover's wisdom and unconditional love. Flover's life was also enriched by the joy of being a grandparent to five wonderful grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense pride and happiness. Flover's home was a gathering place filled with laughter, love, and the cherished traditions of their Colombian heritage. Predeceased by family members Cecar Castro, Kelly Castro, and Alexandra Castro, Flover now joins them in eternal peace, leaving behind a family that will forever cherish their memories and the indelible mark Flover left on their hearts. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Flover's life, in accordance with their wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those who wish to honor Flover's memory consider acts of kindness within their own communities, in the spirit of the love and generosity that Flover embodied throughout their life. Flover Castro's legacy is one of compassion, strength, and unwavering love. Though we grieve the loss of a remarkable soul, we find solace in knowing that Flover's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know them. May Flover rest in eternal peace, forever surrounded by the love they so generously gave.
