In Loving Memory
Florine Davis
July 27, 1962 — April 19, 2026
Florine Davis, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on July 27, 1962, in Neptune, New Jersey, Florine was the beloved daughter of the late Eula Mae King and Illinois King. She was a woman whose warmth and compassion touched the lives of all who knew her.
Florine's life was a testament to love and resilience. She married her soulmate, Fletcher McKinley Davis Jr., on November 1, 1980. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, sharing 41 beautiful years until Fletcher's passing. Their union was blessed with four devoted children: two sons, Fletcher M. Davis III and Nicholas Davis, and two daughters, Rochelle Davis and Elizabeth Cabrera. Florine's family was her pride and joy, and her heart was always full with love for them.
Florine's nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family. She was a proud grandmother to 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy and happiness. Her legacy of love and kindness will live on in them, as she always took the time to listen, support, and guide them with a gentle hand.
Throughout her life, Florine worked diligently to provide for her family. She spent many years working at KFC and Hardee's in Butts County, Georgia, where she was known for her unwavering work ethic and the genuine care she showed her colleagues and customers alike. Her warm smile and infectious laughter brightened the day of everyone she encountered.
Florine was preceded in death by her loving husband, Fletcher McKinley Davis Jr.; her parents, Eula Mae King and Illinois King; her sister, Lucy King; and her brother, Illinois King. Though her family grieves her passing, they find comfort in knowing she is reunited with those she dearly loved in life.
She leaves behind her cherished children: Fletcher M. Davis III of New York, Nicholas Davis and his wife Laporsha of New York, Rochelle Davis of Chesapeake, VA, and Elizabeth Cabrera and her husband Andy of Norfolk, VA. Her family, now her greatest legacy, will continue to honor her memory by living lives filled with the love and compassion she so freely gave.
Florine will be remembered as a beacon of love and strength, a woman who lived her life with grace and dignity. Her unwavering devotion to her family, her kindness to others, and her steadfast spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.
A celebration of Florine's life will be held in the coming days, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the indelible mark she left on the world. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Florine's name to a charity close to her heart.
As we bid farewell to Florine, we do so with profound gratitude for the love she shared and the beautiful memories she leaves behind. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us all.
