Florine Consuelo Baumann, a beacon of warmth and kindness, passed away peacefully on May 3, 1999 at her daughter's home in Idaho Falls, Idaho at age 77. Born on August 15, 1922, in Shoshone, Idaho, Florine lived a life full of grace, compassion, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Florine was the cherished daughter of Carlos and Ramona Berriochoa. Her life was profoundly enriched by the time she spent with her siblings, Bene Haddock, Nieves Arnold, Carlos Berriochoa Jr., and Joe Berriochoa, all of whom predeceased her; except for Teresa Saras who is currently residing in Rupert, Idaho. On June 24, 1946, she married Richard L. Baumann, and together they built a beautiful life for 44 wonderful years until his passing. Florine was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Baumann, her son, Richard C. Baumann, and grandson, Nicholas Smith. A proud graduate of Shoshone High School, Florine furthered her education at the Links School of Business in Boise. She dedicated many years to her role as a secretary for Dr. Neher in Shoshone, Idaho, where her professionalism and dedication left a lasting impression. Florine was a devoted member of the Catholic Church and found joy and camaraderie in her community. Whether it was participating in bowling leagues or bridge and pinochle card clubs, she cherished her time spent with others. Her love for adventure was evident in her fondness for trips to Jackpot and Fort Hall Casinos, where laughter and joy were always on the agenda. Florine had a talent for knitting and crocheting, creating beautiful pieces that were treasured by many. Her skills extended to the bowling alley, where she was known for her competitive spirit, and to the card table, where her sharp mind kept her opponents on their toes. Those who knew Florine would agree that her most remarkable quality was her ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued. Known for being an exceptional listener, her warmth and kindness were a balm to all who encountered her. Her life was a testament to the power of compassion and the profound impact one person can have on countless lives. Florine is survived by her loving daughters, Lorraine Martin (John), Patricia Smith (Brian), Ramona Revak (Peter), and Cornelia Lewis (Scott). Her legacy lives on in her 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Florine Consuelo Baumann leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and community. Her life was a testament to the simple yet profound impact of kindness, and she will be remembered in the hearts of those she touched. Her family invites all who knew her to celebrate her life, cherishing the joyful memories she gifted to each of us.
