It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Florencio Castro Jr., who departed this life on March 6, 2026, at the age of 57. Florencio was born on December 13, 1968, in Acuna, Mexico, to the late Florencio Castro Sr. and Maria Hernandez. His journey through life was marked by dedication, love, and an unwavering commitment to family and friends. Florencio's life was a testament to hard work and passion. As a skilled heavy machine operator, he took great pride in his work, contributing tirelessly to his community. His love for the outdoors was evident; he cherished sunny days spent outside, especially when he was riding his beloved John Deere mower. These moments of tranquility were often shared with his family, whom he adored deeply. Florencio's heart was always full of love for his family. He shared 25 wonderful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Roxanne Castro, who resides in Gates, TN. Together, they nurtured a loving home and raised four remarkable children: Beatriz Castro of Henning, TN, and Ellena, Fernando, and Ashten Castro, all of Gates, TN. As a grandfather, Florencio reveled in the joy of his three grandchildren, Analia Rodgers, Maricela Cabrera, and Orlando Cabrera, who brought boundless happiness to his life. Florencio leaves behind his cherished siblings, each of whom held a special place in his heart: his sister, Edith Hernandez of Uvalde, TX, and brothers Esteban Castro of San Antonio, TX, Fabian Castro of Tyler, TX, and Roy Castro of Houston, TX. Their bond was a testament to the strength of family ties, enduring the tests of time and distance. Florencio's memory will be celebrated and cherished on March 18, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Halls Funeral Home located at 109 N. Church St., Halls, TN 38040. Family, friends, and all whose lives he touched are invited to gather and honor a life well-lived, a life that brought light and love to those around him. Though Florencio has left this world, his spirit and legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him. His gentle nature, warm smile, and kind heart will forever be remembered and cherished by those he leaves behind. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his family find comfort in the beautiful memories they shared together.
