Felicitas Corazao
May 25, 1950 — May 3, 2026
With heavy hearts and profound gratitude, we announce the passing of Felicitas Corazao, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. Felicitas passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026, at the age of 75, surrounded by her loving family. Her life was a testament to warmth, humor, and enduring love.
Born on May 25, 1950, in the vibrant town of Ébano, San Luis Potosí, Mexico, Felicitas was the beloved daughter of Jesus Leos Torres and Ubalda Medellin Torres. From her parents, she inherited a profound love for life and a nurturing spirit that she carried with her throughout her days.
Felicitas shared a devoted marriage with the late Charles Albert Corazao, who preceded her in death. Together, they created a warm and loving family, raising their children with kindness and a sense of humor that Felicitas was renowned for. Her children, D'Angelo Corazao, Edgar Jesus Mata, Karina Elizabeth Mata Leos, Yanet Ibon Mata Leos, and Joel A. Mata Leos, survive her, along with her eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, with another great-grandchild joyously expected. Felicitas also leaves behind many beloved family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Felicitas possessed a magical touch with plants, transforming her garden into a lush haven of life. Her talent was not limited to the garden; she was an exceptional cook, known for her mouthwatering tamales and zesty salsa verde, dishes that were always the centerpiece of family gatherings. Her kitchen was a place of warmth and laughter, where stories were shared and bonds strengthened.
Energized by life, Felicitas maintained a meticulously clean home, where every corner reflected her love and care. Her great sense of humor and infectious laughter made her a joy to be around. She had an uncanny ability to make everyone smile and brought joy to all who met her. Her social nature and warmth crossed language barriers, allowing her to befriend complete strangers with ease and grace.
Felicitas was a beacon of light, teaching those around her the importance of kindness, laughter, and love. Her spirit will continue to inspire everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
We invite friends and family to join us in celebrating Felicitas's remarkable life at a memorial service on May 8, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Services will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church, located at 1401 Lee Victory Parkway, Smyrna, TN 37167. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to a charity close to her heart.
Though we mourn her passing, we celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the legacy of love she leaves behind. Felicitas Corazao will forever be remembered in the hearts of those she touched.
