Felicidad Ulep Bueno, a beloved matriarch and devout soul, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026, at the Maui Memorial Medical Center. Born on November 23, 1938, in Laoag City, Philippines, she was a beacon of strength and love throughout her life. Felicidad was the cherished daughter of Domingo Ulep Sr. and Martha Adverderada Ulep. Her parents instilled in her the values of hard work and faith, which she carried gracefully throughout her years. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Teofilo Jose Bueno Sr., her brothers, Isabelo and Domino Ulep Jr., and her dear daughter, Sta. Filipinas Ulep Bueno. Despite these profound losses, Felicidad's spirit remained unyielding, a testament to her unwavering faith and determination. Her educational journey took her through Gabaldon Elementary School, Ilocos Norte National High School, and to the University of the East, where she completed her third year of college. Felicidad was known for her sharp mind and a passion for learning that persisted throughout her life. Felicidad had a deep admiration for the late actress Nora Aunor and enjoyed watching telenovelas such as "Flor de Luna" and "Villa Quintana" during her time in the Philippines. These simple pleasures brought her joy and connection to her cultural roots. A devoted Catholic, Felicidad often prayed the rosary, finding solace and strength in her faith. Her commitment to her beliefs was mirrored in her dedication to her family. She was a loving and caring presence, always placing her family's needs above her own. Her home was a haven of warmth and love, where she nurtured her children and grandchildren with unwavering support. Felicidad is survived by her sister, Leticia Ulep Agustin, and her children: Philip Eulogio Ulep Bueno, Helen Ulep Bueno Velasco, Teofilo Ulep Bueno Jr., Roderick Cresencio Ulep Bueno, Hubert Ulep Bueno, and Eileen Ulep Bueno. Her legacy extends to her 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, who carry forward her love and values. In honoring Felicidad's life, A catholic funeral services will be presided by Associate Pastor, Father Anil Kochuthazhath Varghese of The Christ The King Catholic Church in Kahului, Hawaii. May Felicidad's memory be a blessing to all who knew her, and may her legacy of love and faith continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her family and friends.
