Felicia Salazar, a woman whose heart was as expansive as her spirit, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on November 20, 1943, in the vibrant city of Caracas, Venezuela, Felicia was a beacon of love, kindness, and compassion throughout her life.
Felicia was the cherished daughter of her late parents and is now reunited with them, as well as her beloved husband, Cesar Pinto, who preceded her in passing. Together, they built a life filled with love and devotion, a legacy that continues through their children and extended family.
Felicia's life was a tapestry of rich experiences and profound connections. She was a devoted mother to her children: Yelima Pinto, Cesar Gonzalez, Victoria Gonzalez, Oswaldo Godoy, Imelda Gonzalez, Harold Garcia, Teresa Salazar, Ana Salazar, Ambar Gonzalez, JHosefine Gonzalez, Cesar Gonzalez, Samantha Garcia, Samuel Garcia, Josmely Goncalvez, Dubraska Godoy, and Lismar Godoy. Her family was her pride and joy, and she found immense happiness in the company of her 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish her memory and the warmth of her embrace.
Educated at the Instituto Comercio Cabimas, Felicia graduated high school in 1958 and went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the State University in 1965. Her career spanned over three decades as an Administrative Secretary at the Ministerio de Educación in Caracas, where she was admired for her dedication and meticulous work ethic. In 2018, she moved to Miami, continuing her professional journey at Gonavi Cargo before dedicating her time to volunteer work at Desert Industries and Provo Bank Food in Utah.
Felicia was a devout member of the Catholic Church, where she found great joy in volunteering and serving her community. Her compassion extended beyond people; she had a profound love for animals and enjoyed caring for those in need, often opening her home to rescues. Her culinary skills were legendary, and she took great pleasure in cooking for her family, ensuring that every meal was a feast of flavors and love.
Her warmth and kindness were boundless, and she possessed a unique ability to make everyone feel valued and cherished. Felicia's special gift was her capacity to give love and compassion unconditionally, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
A service to celebrate Felicia's remarkable life will be held on June 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, located at 11691 NW 25th St, Doral, FL. Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who loved her during her lifetime and to those who have offered a prayer in her memory.
