January 15, 1934 – March 27, 2025 It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of our beloved Felicia Peralta Estevez on March 27, 2025. Felicia's journey began in the vibrant city of San Juan, Dominican Republic, where she was born to Jesus Peralta and Selena Estevez on January 15, 1934. Her life was a testament to resilience, unconditional love, and a boundless spirit of generosity. Felicia endured many challenges with grace and perseverance, including her final battle with liver failure. Her strength in facing adversity was matched only by her unwavering dedication to her family and community. She was preceded in death by her cherished parents, Jesus and Selena, and her beloved husband, Gijermo Rodriguez Estevez, with whom she shared 45 wonderful years of marriage. Together, Felicia and Gijermo built a family rooted in love and compassion. She is survived by her six devoted children: Francisa, Andrea, Maria, Daniel, Teofila, and Dominica Peralta. Her legacy continues through her 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her values and spirit of kindness. Felicia was an active and cherished member of the Cathedral of Santa María, where her faith and community service were central to her life. She found joy in cooking and dancing, often using her culinary talents to bring comfort and happiness to those around her, especially those in need. Her meals were more than nourishment—they were an expression of her love and a way to unite people. Her kitchen was a sanctuary of warmth and laughter, a place where everyone felt welcome. Felicia's generosity knew no bounds, and her life was a beacon of light for those who had the privilege to know her. She lived selflessly, always putting others first, and her home was a haven of love and support. A service to celebrate Felicia's life will be held on March 28, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, located at 343 S Broad St, Trenton, NJ 08608. We invite all who knew and loved Felicia to join us in honoring her remarkable life. In her own words, Felicia leaves us with a message of love and hope: "If you are reading this, know that I am at peace and watching over you with all my love. My greatest joy in life was my family. Each of you gave my life meaning, and I carry your love with me always. Do not be sad for me—remember me with smiles, with laughter, and especially when you gather together. Take care of one another, just as I always tried to take care of you. Keep your hearts kind and open. Help those who are struggling, even in the smallest ways, because kindness is what makes this world better. Never forget where you come from, and always be proud of who you are. And when you cook, cook with love. Feed each other, sit together, and share those moments—because those are the memories that last forever. I am always with you, in your hearts, in your strength, and in the love you give to others. With all my love, Felicia." Felicia Peralta Estevez will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her presence.
