It is with heavy hearts and profound respect that we announce the passing of Faye Marie (Juntilla) Moore, a beloved wife, sister, and friend. Faye departed this world peacefully on February 24, 2024, just three days shy of her 80th birthday, in Albany, Oregon, following a stroke. Faye was born on February 27, 1944, in Marquette, Michigan, to the late Mr. and Mrs. William Junttila. Her life was a testament to love, friendship, and unwavering faith.
Faye was the cherished daughter of Bill and Irma Junttila. She was predeceased by her parents and her dear brother, Rodger Junttila. Faye’s loving spirit and vibrant personality leave behind a lasting impact on her surviving family, including her devoted sister, Sheila (Junttila) Decker, and sister, Pat (Juntilla) Benhke. Her legacy continues through her beloved husband, Marlin E. Moore, with whom she shared a deep and meaningful partnership.
A dedicated and active member of the First Church of God, Anderson, Indiana, Faye found joy and solace in her faith community. She was known for her love of singing in church, where her voice resonated with warmth and devotion. Faye’s love for people and her compassion for others were evident in her commitment to babysitting young children, creating a nurturing environment filled with laughter and care.
Faye’s zest for life was reflected in her hobbies and interests, which included solving puzzles, playing card games, and spending time with long-time friends. Her infectious laughter and welcoming spirit made her a cherished presence in any gathering. Those who knew her will remember her as a beacon of kindness and a source of unwavering support.
A service to honor and celebrate Faye’s life will be held at the First Church of God, located at 1225 15th Ave SW, Albany, Oregon 97321. Friends and family are invited to gather to remember Faye, share stories, and offer comfort to one another.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Faye’s memory to the First Church of God, Albany, Oregon (Anderson, Indiana), to continue supporting the community she loved so dearly.
